  3.    This version incorporates file transfers for use with 'American People
  4. Links' Windowed XMODEM ( WXMODEM ) protocol.  This protocol virtually
  5. eliminates the delay caused by using a half-duplex file transmission
  6. protocol via a packet switched network.  What this means to the user is
  7. a 30% or better reduction in transfer time.

  15. Aborting a WXMODEM transfer is a bit unusual in that at any instance in
  16. time, there can be up to 4 outstanding data blocks somewhere on the channel
  17. between PLINK and your computer.  When Comm needs to abort the transmission
  18. it will first halt the transmission, close any file it was receiving and
  19. print "Wait..." on the screen.  It will then restart the transmitter and
  20. send the abort sequence.  It may take several timeouts to abort the
  21. transmission so please DON'T hit the ESC key several times.

  23.    If the transmission doesn't abort and the file ends up being sent to your
  24. screen, you may have to type the abort sequence by hand.  This sequence is
  25. ^X^X wait 1/2 sec then ^F.   That's control X twice, wait 1/2 second then
  26. control F.  A few of these should do the trick.

  29.    Interlaced Split Screen mode may not function on a machine with 512K or
  30. less memory due to insufficient memory.

  33. There are 2 icons supplied with this file.  Comm.info and CommHI.info.
  34. Comm.info is set to bring up comm in the normal screen mode.  CommHI.info
  35. will bring up Comm in the interlaced mode.  To use this interlaced icon,
  36. rename Comm to CommHI.  Then from the workbench, click on the CommHI icon.
